No I don't. Labour haemoraged votes to the Greens under Starmer. His policies towards Israel and his support for the genocide were a major factor. Burnham is trying to make the right sounds to regain some of that support, while changing as little as possible in practical terms. Note that the only policy change is towards illegal West Bank settlements, with maybe some ineffective sanctions specifically on the products of those settlements. Gaza isn't mentioned. Burnham still won't call the genocide a genocide. Israel itself isn't touched. All this is trying to say "look over here" to people who were repulsed by Israel's actions in Gaza and Britain's complicity and support of it. Gaza has no Israeli settlements, as they were all evicted by the Israeli government twenty years ago, when the strip was sealed off and turned into effectively an open air prison camp for the Palestinian population. As I said earlier, the Green's policy statements put pressure on Labour, who are able to influence Israel, if they want, or are forced too. The vote swing of many lefties from Labour to the Greens is a real thing and Burnham has to try and claw that back. Concessions to lefty concerns are a way to do that.
