Take Me To The Beginning

Featured Replies

Before the recent changes, clicking on a topic title took me to the first post. The little dot to the left took me to first unread. Now they both take me to first unread. I've been into Settings and content preferences and chosen the option to go to first post when clicking on the title of a topic, but it is refusing to obey! What can I do now to get the old arrangement back?

I assume the programmer thought this was an improvement, im not convinced, the previous version did seem a bit clumsy, but at least you knew where you were if you wanted to scroll.

Yes, on an Android tablet.

The most annoying thing for me with VNC is that you used to go for the latest answer time and it would take you to the last post at the end of the thread, now it takes you to post 1 ...even if there are multiple pages.

Takes me to the first unread message in the thread (which is how I set it a long time ago), just as it did before the upgrade. Samsung Galaxy A16 running Android 16 and using Samsung Browser version 30.0.5.24.

Mine doesn't. It behave as it used to but leaves a bit more white space on the screen.

Please confirm if you have cookies enabled and whether these are accepted for CWDF?

The only options I can find is to go to beginning of a thread, last post or first unread. This seems to apply to all content and whatever you click on, subject of thread or blue dot.

I don't have the answer immediately. I need to know if you allow/enable cookies. Does this issue only happen when using Firefox on your Android tablet, or does it happen on your Linux device as well?

Cookies are enabled. It happens in both tablet and phone, both android. I'll check the PC when I'm off the boat. I don't use Linux.

Well, yes I have cookies enabled. I have no idea about the second half of your question, but I have not changed my browser settings (Chrome on Windows 10). I have never gone into Settings and Content preferences before the recent update.

I find that I get to first post by clicking on the number of posts on the right. This is rather less than intuitive.
