Historic Boats for sale online

Is it the back of an old motor which has been cut off for conversion of the fore end into a butty

Tim wood (wood hall heward) has in the past had odd little pusher tugs made from cut down leisure narrow boats I think. Maybe the item in the flat barge beside Tadworth is one of them.

I imagine JR ALSOP would know the answers :)

Had a decent look at those two parts of boat in stinkole today. Seems to be both of same one boat and by the looks of the form of the bow of no historical or aesthetic value.

Was considering the potential for a hydraulic drive unit mounted on a rudder :)

Bit of a large boat to do that with so you are probably right. Maybe twin outboard motors and a girlie button to get the front in the right place

I think historic has to be pre 1960 or something like that. Not sure if that's a rolling date or not - at some point 1970s narrow boats will be historic boats in theory as will all modern boats (if there are any left by then)

(Speculation as I have not got a clue)
