It's a lot of money, but it looks very attractive.

Comes with a decent mooring too - but where? Obviously not at the end of the garden, as the house fronts on to the lock.

The boat depicted on the mooring looks familiar; I'm sure we've met it a couple of times, and that it has a Gardner 4L2 or similar.

I wonder what it was. Its position suggests a lock-keeper's dwelling, but it looks too big and substantial for that. Perhaps an area manager's home?

Converted cattle shed too.

I thought it very reasonable, may go and have a look.

Possibly, though it looks unlikely.

Can we still say that? And please don't mention that white prancing horse puppet, before you ask no I don't.

I thought it had been reclassified as a sexual offense.

The Hazelhurst image is of historical interest, I wonder if is now sold.

This location is the former Staircase Locks which were used from the time the Leek Branch was opened until the new locks were constructed

It does state in the details that it was originally two cottages.

It was also a shop at one point

Yes I remember that. IIRC the shop was in the cow shed.

She absolutely does, thank you Peter.

I was right about the 4L2 too - funny how I remember such little details!

Very handsome, dramatic location - but ugh! all that antiseptic white paint inside, What unimaginative decorating.
