Thanks, Tony and Ian! It looks like an efficient fridge, running a washing machine once a week at 30°C, and normal lighting/device use would require around 1 kWh per day on average. I’m not planning on using a TV or monitor on board (I don't use one now and can't see why I’d need one on a boat). Thanks to the helpful website Ian posted, I worked out that with a setup based on something like the 1.358 kWp Bimble bundle, there is a shortfall of about 500 Wh per day in midwinter. If I can get 50A out of my alternator, that would mean less than an hour of engine running during the darkest months, and should mean being able to mostly depend on solar from March to October. Does that sound right?
