Tony The solenoid failed not too long ago, I panicked because the engine would not stop, I went to Kilworth boat yard and Andy said follow the wire and where it fixes that is the solenoid, 30 quid on ebay, I fixed it and it stops now, I'm learning every day. I have to go working down south for a couple of days, but when I return I am going to check that cable out, I can see where it goes there is a short lever but nothing ever moves, and I think I tried to push the lever at some point but it would not move.
