Why not have an electric motor driving the hydraulic motor? Still have the charging issue but same goes for any electric boat

I think it was centre cockpit wheel steered originally, as with other inspection launches big windowed saloon for canal execs and engine room/cabin aft for crew, roof mounted air ducts make sense. I love it personally!
