This is our first winter on a boat and so far so good, actually looking forward to seeing a bit of snow and doing some boating in it, we have been liveaboards since end october this year, we have had all the usaul boating experiences, batteries flat, toilets blocked, toilet wont pump out, things stuck around the prop, crashed into the orange thingys by the weir, but after all that we still loving it, new batteries, bought a generator and thats way better now for power, i am a fabricator so i am making an aluminium roof box for our wood and coal and getting it powder coated to match the boat, looking forward to semi retirement at 36 on my boat just another 6 months left hopefully, currently staying at stanley ferry moving onto mirfield this weekend even if its snowing as we have the all weather gear now...I wanna see a few recent pictures of narrowboats in the snow...anyone get any?

We had some yesterday morning on the slough arm which did stick but then was washed away by rain, we are now expecting a heavier fall later tonight for the South east and London

Banbury is very cold, was very frosty but is now clear, blue-skied and sunny.

Did it really snow in Feb this year?

Ive got this under Feb 2009

Yes, the pictures are absolutely, guaranteed, 100% from February 3rd, when we were also disturbing a bit of thin ice, but not a lot.

I really have no reason to lie about such things.

(Even February has 28 days, by the way, and weather can change quite a lot in such a long time).

Some I posted from a trip out in early February of this year.....

The snow scene front cover of the January 2010 edition of Canal Boat magazine was also taken in February at Marsworth - possibly when you were there?

No snow here, just muddy.. We also had quite a bit of snow in Feb this year.. But only pic I can find is of my garden not boating.

My memory must be playing tricks as i have just found this one from Feb, not of the boat but proves we had snow.
