It seems incredible to me that their isn't a key to their symbols on their website.

I recognise some of them.

1. Long term urinal.

2. Mating season approaching.

5. Very localised rain expected.

6. Erectile dysfunction clinic.

7. Dustbins over-full, do not use.

8. Fred Locks' private mooring.

Only a couple of those symbols appear in 'The boater handbook', so maybe most of them are not aimed at boaters.

Its fine showing the 'common signs' we all know them as they are quite common - it is the 'uncommon ones' that we need help with !

Agreed, but i'm pointing out that's the only clue they give you if you're a green boater !

And there's me thinking it means Newcastle Brown Ale sold here. Not that I would recommend suverners try it. Come to think of it I wouldn't recommend anyone living more than a mile outside of Jarrow trying it.
