Life in France. The chicken van is it Souppes, the traveling Butcher on the Lateral Loire canal and the Bra stall at St Mammes this day. The Bras are in a big heap on the stall and every market will have a stall. Never saw anybody try one on though.

Another lovely memory ! Many a trip and wee (or not so wee ) dram we have shared with Jimmy and the Wee Spark. Jimmy and his friend Alex built the Wee Spark from bits and pieces they had lying around Jimmy's garage.

Peter, thank you so much for putting so many photos on here which bring back such lovely memories.

It is indeed. We went round to Sutton after we had stocked up on supplies at Stalham.

Today 2009 we were leaving Bar Le Duc and saw this rather faded photo. It marked the start of the Voie Sacre in 1916 which ran for 72 kms to Verdun. Up to 600 trucks a day carried supplies which enabled the French to defend Verdun.
