Cheers, I’ve read ours through and can’t see anything we’re contradicting 🍷🍷 Does anyone have any thoughts on the antifreeze itself? Survey in May, says protection to -17°, using a refractometer in the engine, and -10° in the heating header tank. We tested in September using a floating disc Hydrometer and had only one disc floating. We’ve bought a refractometer and will retest next week. Trouble is, previous owner can’t or won’t remember what brand of antifreeze was last added, only that it would have been Beta compliant. Beta have said don’t mix brands as they can react, but 2 very experienced old heads have told me to top up, just use pink on pink, and you’ll be fine. I’m lost with draining down the system myself, and time is running short. If the refractometer reading is borderline, Does anyone have any advice?
