That's the weird thing about pointless lefty principle protests. They have absolutely no effect, until they suddenly do. Everyone dismisses them, then they become government policy and everyone pretends they were in favour all the time. The change in the approach of the Burnham regime to Israel, tiny though it is, wouldn't have happened without the three years of marching and protest. The government are hoping it will be enough to satisfy, without actually changing their support for Israel. I don't think that is going to work, now the crack has opened.
