I suppose to cover The Leeds and Liverpool Canal in a half hour program would be a bit ambitious but they have missed out 99.9999% of that particular canal.

We agree Martin. I can't say I was expecting much so, in that sense, I wasn't disappointed. Still, it's got boats in it so we'll still probably go on watching ....

Very trivial I thought and as TDH stated, missed most of the best best sections. Only on for 20 minutes if you extract the adverts. Tony Robinsons effort was a lot more informative.

Perhaps not very informative to those of us who are familiar with cruising this canal, but not bad for anyone who might have a casual interest in the background of the best UK canal.

Having left Leeds the first locks he came to was Barrowfied. Where were the others. And what happened to the Foulridge cow, Wigan Pier and the Liver Building (distant shots but no mention).

It's allegedly entertainment for the masses & as such, can't see it being of interest to many on here. Wonder if JS even spent a night onboard. My guess is that he just turned up at the various places to do his bit.
