I,m waiting for an op on my spine at the mo but next year in the summer I intend to cycle the K and A from the river Kennet back to my house at the mouth of the river Avon about 120 miles, I will be taking a rucksack with all my cooking gear, a sleeping bag and bed roll and just crashing at the edge of the tow path at night,will take a train also to my start point, it's something I've always wanted to do but have to except it's now or never as the body is slowly heading south, good luck on your journey,let us know how it goes

. I think you have bought one designed for fitting in a house, as they are all 240 but have a transformer hidden in the ceiling that converts the current down to 12v, i buy most of my led from a motor supplier as its all designed to run straight off the 12 volt system

my boatman only has a bottom vent, when I go to bed I just screw the vent shut then open it two turns and it stays in all night

If the engine was running and now the fuel has gone and the system is full of nowt but air, may be worth checking that the rubber o ring is in the fuel filter, as its to easy to fit them if it's fell off in the box unnoticed, also check none of the unions have been cracked open and not tightened again during the original drain down in the system

I also have a boatman in my grp centre cockpit, is a really early one but works great and has been in the boat trouble free for many years, it was old when I got the boat five years ago

. I drove 122 miles to veiw a boat once, I told the seller to not start it before I got there, when I arrived he told me it was the first time in 5 months, the temp gauge shot straight to normal and i spotted a can of easy start behind his leg, I laughed all the way home

should also have said the non starting sounds like a result of a huge amount of air in the system, if there was that much water in there it would have needed a complete drain down and fresh filters, I would crack the nut on the lift pump first to see if there is diesel there, then follow the fuel line through cracking unions as you go until you get the fuel upto the injectors
