Heartland
The Stroudwater post could be one of a number of locations and perhaps needs a clue- apart from new year that is. Here is another for the list.

beerbeerbeerbeerbeer
Now I see it 👍 Tuel Lane, Sowerby Bridge. historic map says that the B&M car park was originally the site of a foundary and that must be the Wainhouse Tower back there, Edited January 1 by beerbeerbeerbeerbeer

magnetman
Yes I spend more hours than I would like to admit gliding around there in my electric canoe when the weather is nice. With cold beer usually ! Its actually quite a pleasant reach. I was down there just a few days ago in the winter launch. A slightly different view on Boxing Day 2023. I can understand why someone would take the view that erecting a pleasant villa on such an escarpment could prove to be a wise move. They had at least two Boathouses and a number of steam launches. Unarguably a good strategy.
