Curtains!

We are looking to have new curtains made for kelpie. Is there anyone who makes boat curtains who could come and talk to us when we are on the Weaver next week? Colours get distorted when seen on a PC screen and it would be good to select the material when  we are on the boat. There is no rush to have the curtains made but thought I would post on the off chance that there is someone near the Weaver.

I would have thought the OP could get swatches to try for colour, then take the measurements and get the curtains made up almost anywhere. I am assuming that the old and new curtains will be the same sizes (give or take a bit of shrinkage).

I've got all the measurements but having difficulty getting someone to make the curtains. The places I have spoken too won't make such small curtains which is why I asked for a contact who make boat curtains.

I had curtains made but that was near Oxford. The lady still does them at a price!! But she is always busy. If you bimble that way I can put you in touch.

Thank you but we won't be down there for a while. Having a week on the weaver from next Thursday before I get a heart op. Hoping I'll be fit enough to go boating again in September when we are booked in for blacking and a repaint - again on the weaver.

You could try Star Crafts- they were in Middlewich last time I saw a post from them.

In Warwickshire but I can make them from measurements, and I can get samples sent to you to check on the boat.

Nicky was at the Anderton Lift 2 weeks ago when we dropped off our foam and material for our new dinnette cushions.

Adrastrea is moving Southward though, will be at the Foxton festival at the end of June.

We chose our material by swatches,  gave the measurements to nicki, and she worked out how much material we needed to buy.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I hoped I would get suggestions and I have had a look at them all but I am hoping that Sue can make them for me. I like supporting canal folk 🙂
