Come on folks here is a bit of fun. Almost unbelievably way back in 1987 we had this darn bird fly into the Boatman's Cabin Co workshop, and look where he landed!!

It was on our old toolbox made up from a experimental pigeon box made before production commenced.

 

Now why did the bird land on the pigeon Box?

Odds on as the photo was taken in 1987 I would hazard a guess that that particular pigeon in no longer alive.

 

• In the wild, most pigeons likely live to an average of 5-6 years, with most deaths happening as with all wild animals, during the first year or so of life while the youngster is still somewhat naive about predators, other dangers, and where to find food.
