That sounds great! I usually use Hob Bright for both the stove door and halogen hob top, but may try this stuff now - thanks!

I use dry or damp newspaper, once a day, to clean the glass when the stove is alight.

We tried several cleaners for this including White spirit. In the end we found leaving in in the old washing up water for an hour would have the soot come off very easily with a wipe from a microfibre cloth.

 

I even used T-cut to clean it once LOL

When I had a boatman stove as fire died out it would soot up the window but light it and soot just burnt off absolutely brilliant .

Damp rag dipped in the ashes, then rubbed up with a piece of dry kitchen roll works for us.

This is how Dave cleans ours as well....one damp paper, one dry, dip the damp one in a little ash, wipe over glass which removes the black stuff then wipe over with dry paper. Towpath Talk is great for this and again it's FREE

i used wire wool once, it turned my glass a lovely frosted look lol , now at home on my multiburner i use flash multisurface & glass cleaner with green pan sponge,all from pound shop,
