The Welsh Cruiser
Moored at Whitely Green on the Macc, close to the stoppage. Owner has left his or her keys on the deck. I'm taking care of the keys, I'm on the next boat up. If the owner happens to be on here or anyone knows them, please get in touch. Thanks. David Mack
If you have Alice's CRT index number, CRT will pass on a message to the owner.
Alan de Enfield
Sally called when she got the wordShe said, "I suppose you've heard 'bout Alice"Well, I rushed to the window and I looked outsideBut I could hardly believe my eyesAs a big limousine rolled up into Alice's drive I don't know why she's leaving or where she's gonna goI guess she's got her reasons but I just don't wanna know'Cause for twenty-four years I've been living next door to AliceAlice?Who the f*** is Alice?Twenty-four years just waiting for a chanceTo tell her how I feel and maybe get a second glanceNow I've got to get used to not living next door to AliceAlice?Who the f*** is Alice? The Welsh Cruiser
I contacted CRT with the reg. number, they didn't seem particularly interested, not even bothering to ask who I was, where the keys were etc. I'll call again tomorrow. It seems to spend a fair amount of time on the Macc, I've seen it before.

I once worked for a software house that called a product Argonaut. We weren't sure the management got the right image there, as someone pointed out that the Argonauts went in search of the golden fleece.

The Welsh Cruiser
I did leave a note on the boat, the owner knocked on earlier to pick up his keys. Interestingly, he didn't receive a phone call from CRT.

Just out of interest, did you notice if my boat (Byrons Maggot) was still moored on the winding hole opposite Bollington Wharf as you came through? It's supposed to be in the yard being fixed... What would happen if you rang the DLVC to tell them you had some car keys? Really? I wouldn't have thought it would have been too much trouble for CRT to provide that bit of customer service. After all, even a small boat will pay many multiples of the cost of car tax and, being a smaller organisation than DVLC, might be expected to take a more humanistic approach to their customers.
