Different look boat, solar boat advert

Featured Posts

What else would it (they?) be? They don't look like models.

Sort of wondering if that front end has been added by photo manipulation software because the rest of it looks like an ordinary boat and I am having trouble believing the front is real.

Its just not right.

Looking at Alan's photo, whats the big gap on top of the doors, the gap seems to run the whole length of the boat?

It's on the water somewhere, trouble is, these negative comments could upset somone who wants to put in a offer and really wants it,

A sliding hatch (not completed) but viewable in other adverts.

Cut off those top pseudo Dutch bits, which probably wouldn't stand a good impact, strengthen the bow and give it some traditional looking fittings. Take those multi-shaped windows out and replace with something a little less B&Q display gone wrong, but place in a more suitable pattern, after the original window holes have been filled with steel. A better choice of paint finish and style wouldn't go amiss.

The boat is here as well: http://www.cheapboats.org.uk/narrow-boats/45ft-luxury-electric-solar-canal-narrow-boat-designed-as-dutch-barge-build-2015/

I think we have come across this seller before, something about Birmingham and the advert style is familiar

If you read the ad properly you'll understand that this is a real bargain, they have used a lot of new stuff on this new boat.

I marked all the new stuff with fat blue letters, so you can see more easily the very good deal this really is.

They must think that other boatbuilders do their boats with a load of secondhand or used equipment.

For sale a brand new, luxury 45 feet steel narrow boat, designed as a Dutch Barge.
Boat will be ready for about 1 month's time.
Has been build with highest quality materials.

The boat was build in UK by Polish Boat Builders, who have great experience build ocean-going boats in Gdansk, Poland.

Now you do not need go to Poland to buy a narrow boat.

Poland will come to you.

We welcome reputable customers.
I will accept part exchange for freehold ( flat, home, land, property...)
Jealous competitors are not welcome, who copy our ideas.
We used high quality steel;12mm bottom and front.
Sides 10mm and 8 mm which will last for ever.
You can forget about re-plating.
Welding by highest specialised welder with weld testing.
Survey has been done before the boat was put into the water.
New anodes attached.
4 coats of special red oxide and two coats special black paint.
Top coat: gold metallic paint.
Step by step photographic documentation.
There is electric solar power, which give you the chance to sail for free. No pollution, you can get 25 % off the licence cost.
For example on Thames River the Government fix it every 10 miles electric nests for charging electric boats. But this is not need for this boat, because you can sell energy.
Boat is designed for tall people with over 2m headroom.
Panoramic double-glazed windows.
Doors are very big, will accommodate full size furniture ( you do not need Ikea flatpacks only!)
New floor, CE approved marine plywood.
Very expensive high quality lamination and tiling.
The insulation: polyurethane foam.
This is a luxury boat, that means:
- jacuzzi bath, full size bathroom,
- full size toilet and sink,
- towel heater,
- heating floor,
- 3D tiles on the floor,
KITCHEN - full size like at home
- brand new washing machine,

So apart from powering the boat, the solar panels (which I can't actually see) also power the jacuzzi, the full size fridge, the dishwasher and the washing machine?

Presumably there will be an optional "cruising butty" to contain the necessary batteries?

Stick some rivets on and hey presto, a Hudson

:clapping: but are you allowed say that_?

From the advert :

"You can sell energy"

Well you could cut the cabin off and carry a bit of prepack homefire and a small amount of diesel then sell it to other boaters

Not quite sure how you sell solar from a boat even if it is grid connected I don't think the service bollards allow it. Maybe they do?

I would want to know...

Who fabricated it and what their welding qualifications are ?

What warranty is there on it ?

What business or company is selling it ?

Where the steel came from, UK certified quality or imported crap ?

Is it passed survey for insurance ( fully comp insurance are not liable to pay out if the boat has been built by unqualified persons )

If I find out its held together with tack welds and filler what do I do ? ( cry )

It's absolutely comical isn't it? The interior description is clearly copy N pasted from another far bigger boat.

I suspect they've seen a Hudson for sale at £100k and thought all narrowboats are the same.

Actually, it does look rather like a Hudson anyway, doesn't it?

I contacted him, for more info and additional Pictures, but He just say that if I am serius buyer i come and see the boat, because he is afraid I copy it. :-)
