Some of them locks can throw your boat about a bit but you've got a wide beam and were going up. Doesn't sound like anything bad really happened at all....

I once entered a bridge on a corner and couldn't see the other side, I went in slow incase another boat was approaching so they could use the horn back at me. Instead I was forced out of the bridge up onto rocks the other side, had a man shout at me for not looking where I'm going and left me stranded. That was on the Llangollen. At first I felt ashamed but only other option to have prevented it would have been to tie up the boat and walk through the bridge to check its clear.... not sure if that would be going to far though.

Well I ran my engine till 9pm today. Boater behind me was out on the deck smoking so said do you mind if I run my engine for an hour, he said no problem. Can't be much fairer than that.

People running engines and going past before 8am is more annoying than someone running an engine past 8pm. I can sleep through the sound of an engine anyway. They should change it to 10pm

Maybe the boat will let others moor up and plug into it and pay £5 per day for the unlimited electric. The bow looks badly made and steel looks thin to me.
