magnetman
Fair point it turns out the station is only about 2/3 mile - just seemed further in my head having walked it before ! thanks for the correction Mooring fees http://www.sorbonestates.com/developments/middlesex/platts-eyot,-hampton/?type=3600 Owned by Shanly since 2013. carlt
Thank you - didn't help that I was searching for a wooden motor called Walton! lol I suspect that Ade will part with Walton only when the tiller bar is prised out of his cold dead fingers. I may be wrong though and if he ever did decide to sell my house will immediately go on the market so I can buy it.

alan_fincher
Basildon is back up for sale https://m.apolloduck.com/feature.phtml?id=493924&rid=aa&z=aa No its not - it is called Baildon! EDITED TO ADD: I was going to say surely the price is a lot higher than it last sold for, but as it says it has been re-bottomed in 2016, it seems likely the current owner has had to spend a great deal of money on it, (possibly?). Last advertised via Apollo Duck website / Aquaduct Brokerage in February 2016 @ £39950, and was sold in late June or early July 2016. When last advertised it was stated that BAILDON had been re-bottomed and re-footed in 1998 using 10mm steel plate. I would have thought a 10mm bottom should have lasted considerable more than 18 years

A bit uncertain what this is supposed to mean then..... Completing the general history Baildon was re-bottomed and blacked in 2016

magnetman
Anyway. I was a bit surprised to see that this rather nice old boat had a 2 cylinder Bukh in it I know that Bukh are very nice units that is not in doubt but it must be rather unusual for this type of boat.
