Just to cheer every one up...

The BBC news has just interviewed their weatherman who says that there is little likelihood of any prolonged warm or dry weather for the next three or four weeks.

All down to the jetstream being too far south.

Speaking as someone who hates it when it's too hot I can live with that. Needs to be better than it is here today though - absolutely dire here, rain fog, thunder this morning, just awful.

If they've said that we can confidently look forward to a heatwave in the next week or two.

Rained here for well over 12 hours today. Trent up here near Keadby is fine although running a little fast and has lots of debris coming down with the outgoing tide tonight.

Getting bored with it now closedeyes.gif

ah, you wait until this lot comes down there.........

Looks like Alkborough Flats will be under water again then............... the EA turned the farmland there back over to the Trent as its the natural flood plain............though it does manage to flood arable land too sometimes..............

The Caravan club site at York is the only site we ever stayed on when we were caravanners where the 240V mains points for your caravan were mounted about 5-6 feet off the ground. It is right next to the Ouse.
