Oh, I couldn’t agree more.

I to feel my service of many years now retired and my husbands 22 years military service, now retired for country.  Makes me less tolerant of the moaners too.

Then you're on the wrong forum.

And yet you have been doing more than your fair share of moaning on here recently.

Got to say I never understood this ignore list thing. I reckon they peek at what’s written.
I’m on a few lists but I think the more clever minded people just know how to ignore (me).

I use ignore to make sure certain posters don't wind me up.

There are a few posters who I always read. There are some who I don't bother about, but might be encountered on a live thread.

It depends on my mood, occasionally I peek at some, taking in to account the context.

Also, if someone quotes the ignored poster's post, then the reader who put them on ignore will still see that post cited with the name of the ignored poster at the top.

Pointless. For those getting so wound up I suggest

a) transcendental meditation,

b good quality drugs or

c) a holiday in a country where most inhabitants have a daily struggle to obtain clean water, sufficient calories, etc etc.

a) Not my scene.

b) I am medicated already.

c) That is what I have just escaped from, it was no holiday and certainly no relief from being wound up. Ducking every time there is a bang, watching for drones, living in filth with no clean water or food, not pleasant.

Better to ignore the fools and clowns, yes, it is a shame that their posts appear if quoted by another member but that is unavoidable.

I've never put anyone on ignore, I don't see the point as I can read their name and not read any post I don't like after the first paragraph. As far as I am aware I have not been put on anyone's ignore list.

I find there is a handful of people on here who post only to wind up other posters. They have nothing constructive to say about boats or boating so it's not even worth the minor effort of reading their 'first paragraphs'. Putting them on ignore makes the forum a nicer place.

No way would I put anyone on ignore. Would miss some of the whiners on the politics forum and that simply would never do :clapping: several are hilarious beyond belief :giggles:

I never bother with the political jokers, they are a sad lot and its all very pointless.

Never discuss sex, religion or politics, avoids the agro.
