And in the intervening 17 years, that coping on the point of the junction seems to have subsided somewhat.

On this day in 2019, a Black Prince hire boat who thought it a good idea to explore the flash below Oakwood Marina on the T&M.

We did offer to give them a tow, but they said CRT were on the way, and as if by magic a tug appeared.

By the time we'd finished breakfast they were free.

Photo taken on potato (ok, old iPhone at full zoom)

Braunston locks, widebeams aplenty.

I remember nipping in front of these the following morning after an earlish start up the flight and finding them waiting at the top before the volly had turned up.  Id love to have a go at squeezing that hotel boat through 😀

There used to be a member here with that forum name.

There is another Onion Bargee narrowboat I’ve seen with a blue colour and an onion with eyes on it round the name. One of them was recently for sale I thin. All ready to takeaway as the advert should have said?

Well done!  there was a third  going up too. The white one had 4 video cameras two each side which could have given interesting views through the tunnel bends and much bow thrusting.

As you probably know it was the last season for the hotel boat in their hands sadly.
