My first ever tunnel, Preston Brook. Or rather, Preston Broke. I hadn't fitted a tunnel light at that stage and figured a small head torch balanced at the bow would give me enough illumination.

Whoops! There was no handy receptacle to leave the brick shavings I'd brought out the other end, so I quietly swept the well deck off into the canal.

Look at me now - not even a graze after transiting the Harecastle and other tight tunnels.

four-moving-boat imbroglio  at Braunston - watching from Br91  looking towards the Marina ...  Maybe the oncoming red boat on the towingpath has just untied, creating a rare space for the green boat to grab, and causing the blue boat to reverse, and the oncoming Napton boat to be patient while the entertainment is completed ... ??

... blue boat has escaped the fun, Napton boat is still patient

... another boat upon the scene goes by and Napton boat continues the waiting game ...

... and another goes by, Napton boat is still patient and the red boat then leaves to complete the mooring-space...

This is the prequel, when the green boat found that there-might-be-a-space ...
