This afternoon, 2024.

Since my last visit to Princes Park, Toxteth, Liverpool, a new bridge has been constructed across to the island in the Lake. The small red plaque on the end of the parapet indicates that it was built by CTS Bridges of Shepley, near Huddersfield, a company originally established to build lock gates for the Huddersfield Canal restoration, and which has since branched out into pedestrian bridges.

I remember taking a photo on the way up to Sheffield and then being puzzled when I looked at one taken on the way back. It was only hen that I looked up and discovered the phased demolition! I think the process was deliberately not publicised as there was nowhere for crowds to stand and watch safely.
