I remember passing those abandoned boats (I think there were two or three) several times and wondering if anyone actually owned them. If they did, they hadn't looked after them very well. Are they still there or have they sunk?

There used to be at least two single bascules in the London docks in the 1960's, all gone now I think.

There's still the Blue Bridge at the entrance to the West India Docks.

Opened 1 June 1969, so just counts as being there in the 1960s.

You are quite insensitive and forgetful at times Athy.

CarlT of this forum owned and was starting restoration, various things (including BW)got in the way and then the local yoof set fire to the pair.

I believe Lucy is on the hard standing next to Midland Chandlers, slowly being rebuilt by volunteers. The other boat had it's back broken whilst BW were removing it.
