  3. Thank you , I don’t think the straight pipes are a problem as you say cut to length it’s the tapered hose that looks the tricky one to get . I’ve contacted Beta about this but they don’t sound as if they have anything.

  5. That will be lack of HTTPS, yes. With unencrypted HTTP it's possible for parties between the client and server to monitor and intercept requests - either just to snoop, or to pretend to be your server and return something malicious instead of what was requested. Examples I'm aware of in the wild: * operators of public WiFi networks logging users' device info and the pages they visit, then selling the data. (this one also needs encrypted DNS to fix entirely, but browsers are working on that too). * unscrupulous ISPs (looking at you, Virgin Media) returning fake ad-loaded search pages when DNS lookup fails [i.e. there shouldn't really be a page at the address at all] * poorly-configured public WiFi enabling other users to interfere with requests, inserting viruses into the response. * governments (our own, the US and China's among many others) forcing ISPs to let them monitor or interfere with traffic as above. Chinese entities have repeatedly used a technique called 'BGP hijacking' to redirect traffic between other countries that would never normally pass through China so they can do so. None of these are possible with HTTPS. The nature of the content you intend to serve is moot because the data is tampered with before you receive it and after you send it back. The browser vendors and other large companies don't gain at anyone's expense from using HTTPS - in fact as above it makes certain tracking techniques impossible. Certificates are free these days. It's just standard good practice. I'd also be happy to help with sorting it out, your site's a great resource and it would be a shame to lose it.
  6. £2.15 ppl + delivery is about twice the price of Red diesel (for domestic) as there is no reduced duty available for HVO.
  7. There are lots of pictures of the JD3 and BD3 on the www and they are very different engines so it should be easy to identify which one you have. Assuming its a JD3.. The little hoses connecting water pump to oil filter cooler will be John Deere parts. The big tapered hose from water pump to copper pipe to oil cooler will be a Beta special. The short connectors either end of the oil cooler will be supplied by Beta but are standard off the shelf parts for the oil cooler. Try ASAP. Longer hoses from water pump and header tank to the cooling panel will be supplied by the boat builder but should be available cut to length from a hose specialist. Hoses to calorifier will also likely be semi-standard parts obtained by the boat builder. John Deere have a goodish online parts catalog.
  8. I have a manual thank you . So far the engine is ok but I would feel better if I had some spare hoses. I’m no sure how old the ones fitted are .

  10. An exception for http sites is also available for chrome users. To apply it a user needs to go to the site in question (needing to press the "continue to site" button on the warning screen that the site is not https). On getting there to the left of the web address is a button which will say "not secure". Click on that, and then Site settings. Scroll down the permissions list to "insecure content" and change from "block" to "allow", and the browser will remember this preference for this site only.
  11. Sleeman & Hawken do parts but you need the Lister Number as the Lister CRK3 used the same engine. Agriline do Ford 3910 parts which is the same engine. Have you got a manual, if not drop me a private message and I will send you a softcopy
  12. Once off purchases of HVO in 20litre containers cost me GBP43 plus delivery. Not crazy prices, but yes, much more than red diesel.
  13. I think you’re right it’s a JD . any idea where to get spare hoses. Any parts?
  14. Cheers Joe mooring at Barlaston today halston fuel boat appeared whoopee fuel N coal sorted should bump into her in four weeks too .
  15. That may be why on mine the long fixed sliders on the roof are stainless steel, and the plastic ones are strips under the hatch where they can't move or buckle because they're confined...
  16. Today
  17. I had some form of plastic runners on a previous boat and although they were slippery the buckled badly in warm weather.
  18. The tractor moulded hoses are very likely to be specific to the tractor, but you might be lucky enough to find a car spares place (not Halfords) who will try to match them up. Also, hoses to and from the skin tank and calorifier will NOT be Beta or JD parts, so a decent chandler should stock them by the metre. Filters and fan bets should be available on-line or from car spares places, as long as you have the filter number. they c n be cross-referenced to another filter/belt manufacturer.
  19. You can also use the rugby club across the road, they're happy for berthers to use the bar. Their breakfasts are cheap! Plus they run an annual music festival in August and give people in the marina free entry. There's always bridge 35 at the top of Hanbury for diesel, or if you're coming the other way then Crafted also does diesel. Sometimes on a Saturday morning / Sunday afternoon Hanbury locks can have a bit of a queue with boats off the marina, we usually plan to leave Friday evening if we're off just for a weekend trip.

  22. "For clarity if you have an electric bike with a ‘twist and go' throttle (that can be propelled without pedalling) this is NOT a legal e-bike, it is not allowed on towpaths and can be confiscated by the police if done so." "It's not currently legal to ride an e-scooter in any public place, except for where rental trails are being held. We've not allowed any trails to take place on towpaths. We issued this statement on e-scooters in 2020 This makes it clear that e-scooters are prohibited under our bylaws and that we will not be allowing e-scooters to be used on towpaths unless it can be proved that it is safe to do so. As yet, we have not seen such evidence. Loads of both on the towpaths (and pavements and roads) though, the rules are obviously useless without any effective enforcement ... 😞 (though as discussed earlier, it's difficult to see any way CART could actually do this in reality...)
  23. I seem to recall you can get spares from tractor dealers as the base unit was also used for rural applications. I’m sure it’s been asked before?

  25. That's why I suggested Reed type plants, Yellow flag iris is useful if the soil isn't too dry but there is plenty of choice along that theme.
