Hi All,

about to kick start the funding for our "chosen" charity and am wondering does the BCNS have a registered charity?

One year we did Just Giving for C&RT and did ok but feel they have had more than enough support

I know Dudley Canal & Tunnels have one available but cant seem to find BCNS?

Any thoughts good or bad.

According to the BCNS web site they are charity number 1091760 which when searched for on the Charities Register shows as The BCN Society.

Its almost that time of year again

So how many forum boats are entering this year?

I will not have time to get the boat there so I believe my lovely Kathy has got us the weed hatch berth on an ex hire boat - will bring some whisky this time :D

I shall be crewing for Rob-M again this year.

I wonder if there will be more CWDF members on board Tawny Owl than there will be in the rest of the field put together.

JP

ETA - any unwanted supplies of Aberlour and Talisker will be gladly received.

We're heading east.

Three boats came through heading west yesterday.

Is there any water in the cut on the Yorkshire side?

Yes plenty. Im at the other end of the tunnel by the station. Going through on Monday.

I waved those three off yesterday, 2 hire boats and ‘rocking robin’.

I’ll help you down a few locks if I’m not in bed.

See you tomorrow afternoon. I think we’ll be through about 130-2ish. Can do beer.

We will be doing it, although it may just be the two of us this year, so not expecting too much if that is the case.

Ooohh, you fibber! This is your winning strategy for 2018
