You around for a beer Sunday evening, I'm doing Roundhouse boat trips during the day but will be back on the boat late afternoon\early evening?

Top gate balance beam has snapped. At the moment the hand rail is just about holding it together so the lock is workable but slow. CRT staff in attendance to assess. Not sure how long it will hold before completely unusable.

Has someone been using a Spanish Windlass on it?

A (serious) question.

Does the taste of Golden Glow (Holdens) put you in mind of another beer?

It does, and has 👍

I would choose the ‘other’ if I had the option.

If I went the Great Western for instance, I would choose the ‘other’. For they have both.

I reckon on a blindfold test between the two, I’d prefer the other.
They’re close but not…so close.

Both suit me taste buds like a tasty thing should . If it’s moorish get on and drink it !!

Might be joining you if it's not fixed tomorrow. Otherwise it's the long haul though Birmingham and Wolverhampton.

Oh goody!

Hopefully it’ll be a quick bodge fix.
But not in time for me I’m afraid.

Golden Glow used to be on at Fradley. It's on my top ten list. Sunchaser on at the Swan today not too bad either.

How much a pint?

Now if you went via Wolverhampton you could taste the ‘other’ 🤣

I don't ask these days the answer is usually very depressing for us Yorkshire folk.

Almost worth the effort of all those locks. It's been awhile since I had Holdens.

Yes.

It's struck me that Golden Glow might be brewed to the same recipe as another beer (the best in the whole wide world IMHO) brewed not a million miles away from Delph Bottom Lock.
