I have done it from here before. Bit if a walk but doable with a pub for refreshment afterwards.

We usually moot on the embankment. Its a pleasant 10/15 minutes walk  to the town and well worth it. We like Nantwich.

 Between 91 and 92

More towards 92

There’s a great embankment and Aquaduct.
I usually tried to more otherside of Aquaduct towards 92. (Travelling North)

If you want exact 😃, I think just over the Aquaduct and you’re at the top of the steps going down to the road.
Then it’s a straight walk in to town.
The first  boozer is half way along.
And then there’s one or two (?) more before crossing the lights in to town.
I think 🤔

Do you know where that is in terms of bridge numbers please? 15 minute walk is perfect.

Its the Old Broken Cross pub. This is the bus route

It's Northwich we want to go to, I didn't spot that! So moor at Broken Cross pub and possible bus from there.

I like Nantwich too but don't remember going to Northwich.

Thank you.

If you are heading towards Preston Brook, then mooring just before the Old Broken Cross is better imo/e. The pub serves ok food and good beer - they had Timothy Taylors Landlord on last time I was there. iirc it is just after bridge 183.

Sorry but I can't resist....

Down the Anderton lift, turn left, moor right in the middle of town.

I thought I was going to be first to say "if you want to there, don't start from here". Going down the Anderton lift then left actually makes a lot of sense, since the Weaver runs right through Northwich.

Quite. I despair.

I sympathize and recommend you regain your composure over a nice pint. I believe there's a great pub in either Nantwich or Northwich...

Perhaps it was Norwich?

🤣🤣🤣 I should have stopped in Middlewich today.

The Anderton boat lift option would be perfect, but our timings don't really make that a possibility unfortunately.

Then you could have gone to the White Bear. Another reputable hostelry.
