Laundry washing bedding

Hi,

We're looking for alternatives to using launderettes for washing bedding.

Ideally a manually operated washer dryer but after much web searching it seems everything on the market is fine for small stuff like clothes but too small for bedding for a double bed.

What does everyone use to clean bedding?

Thanks in advance,

Richard

I wash double bedding in a small Zanussi KWC1300 without difficulty. Quilt covers have to be with little else and if you don't fasten all the press studs everything else finishes up inside!

A dryer uses too much electricity for me when not on a land line.

Same. And agree. Even though I’m only a bystander, watching.

And throw the crockery overboard to save on washing up.

Yars ago when we had large houses we would toss the plates in the open fire for the servants to clean up later.

As you do. Although the ming bowls were usually spared.

Yes. The sun.

We tried that last year. We went through 11 months of rain in mucky sheets and when the sky cleared and they finally got washed they went on the line in a heatwave and burst into flames!

Watching dry paint is great because you have no expectations and can let your mind wander.

If it is wet the outcome being sought is for it to become dry. If the paint is dry the outcome is more unpredictable and open to pleasant surprises.
