It's not that wide at the Wyvern base in Lechlade with boats moored 3 abreast across the canal. In fact we have recently seen a wide beam struggle to get through there.

Pearsons for us ...Very lighthearted and a pleasure to cruise with .

Justin from JG marine in Braunston did ours . Absolutely sound guy and did it for a very good price ...

We are also moored in Llangollen Basin . You would have thought it was a safe place to moor with plenty of other boats in the basin, safety in numbers .. Never heard of mooring ropes being burnt before and am slightly concerned as this could have ended up with the boat on fire. Hope this has been reported to the Police as surely it is arson.

We were there last year and watched him dig the soil out from under his hedge and then heap it onto the grass verge next to the canal . I did ask him what he was doing but got no reply. I believe it's a case of he wants no boats moored outside of his property.

After watching the programme tonight I wouldn't bother , It's not worth the hassle ..

He's a long way from his usual area ...Hope he is OK ...

The moorings at Fenny Stratford below the lock today were near empty. Plenty of room above the lock as well ...

Beggars belief, Was hit at full speed today whilst moored on a straight bit of canal by a Wyvern hire boat. Surely they have been told or at least should have the common sense not to cruise in such high winds !!!

I have been told the Stoke Bruerne flight is a good place for a un scheduled landing ..

Jules has just passed Giffard Park ,Milton Keynes and is heading South. 70p a litre the last time we had some ,about a month ago.

We came through today .... Top lock on the right...Middle lock on the right and bottom lock on the left...With no other boats about it does not matter ... Hillmorton wharf today was 76 pence a litre, but it has none in stock and is waiting for a delivery ..

Log Periodic has never let us down . Even at Braunston which is known for a poor signal .

We are from Totnes and lived there for over 50 years, although now on the canals. There are a few people that live on the Dart ,but not very many. It's totally differant to the canals.In the summer it can not be beaten ,but the winter is completely differant .The tide makes a big differance to your daily activities especially if you are on a drying out mooring. It would certainly be a lot harder living on a river than on the canals,unless of course you opted for a marina.. What ever you decide All the best to you ...

We were there in September. The pontoons had just been installed . Very good moorings and only a short walk to the town .only downside is the building work that is going on around the basin ,but as soon as that is finished I can't see there being a problem there,also the new pontoons are gated for extra security.

There are many times when I would like to throw the wife in !!

2 quid when we were there last year and yes it is still disgusting....

In just over a year we have averaged 1 litre an hour from our Beta 43hp . That is mostly canal cruising at 1100 rpm and on tick over through the winter for topping up the batteries....

What terrible news .....

I can't make my mind up . Do I leave the ACC stickers on my windows or do I take them off ???
