  1. Not instant, but after an hour or so...Fitting a Webasto and not a gas boiler would be less hassle...
  2. We did think of that, but due to the small surface area in the system the webasto would cycle and maybe coke up prematurely...adding the engine was advised to increase the amount of water and thus bring down the cycle rate....
  3. Ok point taken....heres why....my boat has a Kobola boiler which during winter is great....but a pain during summer if I need hot water as I must light the Kobola just to get hot water.......so how about a Webasto in the engine circuit to provide hot water.....added advantage warm engine starting and no chance of a frozen engine during winter......so would the Webasto circulation pump be able to work in the engine circuit? Thanks.....
  4. Ok my Lister JP3 has the same water pump as fitted below to the same engine, my question is, if using a small pump would water be able to flow around the engine circuit without the engine running......ie would it be able to flow through the engines own water pump ok.......Thanks....
  5. I hope you can all shed some light on my question as I have a thought on providing hot water on a narrow boat during summer.....basically 1 coil two heat sources?....so whats to stop me putting a Webasto in the original circuit to provide hot water only during summer (I've a Kabola E7 which i don't want running during summer).....As long as the new Webasto is "T"ed into the same flow and return so the two systems don't fight each if ever they run together.... and ensure its "T"ed in before the original circulation pump I can't see an issue?.....any thoughts would be great..... Thanks Kristian.....
  6. Having been on ebay looking at the above heaters, it seems the accessories are the same...ie the timers and pumps etc....does that mean that Eberspacher and Webasto heaters use the same plugs and sockets? I'm wanting to swap a warm air blower for a a Webasto water heater, the the accessories are the same it will make things so much easier....thanks....
  7. I've a Stecca 30amp solar controller which seems to have given up, as per the above anyone recommend a replacement 30amp or more......many thanks.....
  8. Rustins tung oil, wipe on wipe off....
  9. Ive got 4 of these around the boat and there just fab..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321708070952?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  10. Ive a Kabola e7, which draws its fuel from the daytank via a 3way cav filter, no pump to worry about, works great..
  11. As per the above, I'm needing a BSS examiner in Marsworth, any around here to go to or stay away from....I'm between Leighton Buzzard and Hemel.....thanks...
  12. As per the above Richard did my boat 4yrs ago, just wondering if he is still active in the Leighton Buzzard/Marsworth location prior to trying to contact him in the coming wk... Thanks..
