I feel the same about narrowboats, I just find them so ugly. I'm glad they are actually called " narrowboats" because for me they are not proper boats. But hey, that's only my opinion!

Coming back to “They're built to appropriate proportions”, this is as ridiculous as it is funny. Example: 40ft x 7ft narrow boat (I’m pretty certain most in the “narrowboat club” would agree that “it’s built to appropriate proportions” (whatever that means) - the proportions ratio is 5.7 57ft x 10ft – ugly fat boat has a proportion ratio of… Yes, you guessed right, 5.7! same us 40ft narrowboat.

Well, it depends the way you look at it. Comparing to all sort of boats built all around the world, it’s the narrowboats that actually have “weird proportions” being so narrow in relation to the length.

They should introduce congestion charging in London, lets say you've got up to 4 weeks for free every year. Otherwise if you want to be within zones 1-3 you pay for the privilege to be in the capital. 2 - 3k a year would sort it out !
