Taken before the cabin sides went on.

Dave Harris does not skimp on roof stiffeners.

Cabin sides now on.

Edit in response to Doorman's post below:

-Yes, including the top gunnel one there are 3 full length strakes.

I think the bow will be solid enough, as the stem iron is 60x65mm in total cross section and the gas locker floor which strengthens the area internally is 12mm thick.

I know. I wasn't wetting my pants.

He uses them wherever possible. Then the rest gets used as ballast.

Although the gas locker floor is a pretty big area to have come from an offcut.

Even I like that.

I have thought about buying a cruiser and have always leaned towards Freeman's - but that is very nice.

What make is it? How wide is it?

Alex

Thank you for the compliment

It's a Princess 32. Built in 1975. 32 ft long, 10 ft beam. 2 cabins and an enormous cockpit. Commonly described as a classic gentleman's cruiser. Mine is unusual in that most have a hard top and twin engines. Mine has a total soft canopy, folding windscreen and single engine so I think it has always been set up for the inland waterways

We asked Mr Hudson to include gunwale rubbing strakes. After his initial query, he conceded and included it in our spec. During the fit out of our boat, another one of his customers noticed our addition and asked for it too!

They have saved our gunwales from a good bashing on many an occasion!
