  2. Hi Always buy from genuine battery manufactures, There are so many 'sticker' battery's out there. The AA don't make battery's and neither do Halfords, I even have my suspicions of Lucas. My recommendations would be Trojan - US Battery's - Varta Alex
  3. It is a Camos satellite receiver equivalent to 65cm dish. Burstner is of finest German build quality - there is definitely no damp. Good luck with your future adventures, don't forget ----- you are not here for a long time but you are here for a good time. Alex
  4. I have a lovely Burstner 625 for sale as we speak Alex

  14. We each also carried a full set of all the boat keys, my wife's set lived in her handbag. Although we never needed them I dread to think of the consequences if I'd dropped mine in the cut. Alex
  15. There should be the size printed on them - Buy Gates belts. Alex
  16. Be wary of the speed you will be carrying - even at tick over it could be over 8 mph. Alex
  17. Hi Its always best to share wide locks, even if it means waiting for some one else to come along. Watch out for the staircase lock - read the instructions carefully and make sure all the paddles are down - or you can find yourself on the bottom of the last lock ( don't ask me how I know!) The all steel lock is novel. Look for deer around there, it is a lovely cruise. Alex
  18. Hi You shouldn't lose that much water if you leave the rad cap on the header tank, (it will vacuum) I only had a bleed key on the top of the skin tank, you shouldn't need to bleed the engine. Run the engine and just top up the header tank. Alex
  19. Hi We had a one week holiday starting from Joigny and finishing in ??? They can organise a taxi back for around £20 each. All the locks are manned and it is very rural. You do pass through Auxerre and is well worth a stop over. Alex
  20. A spray bottle is the secret, run in the silicone and then spray water all along the joint/seal. The silicone wont stick to the watered surface either side and wipes right of. Alex

  22. What about these - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BARRUS-SHIRE-FILTER-KIT-2200cc-YANMAR-/191039953847?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_BoatEquipment_Accessories_SM&hash=item2c7ade5bb7 Engine filter are generic, Barrus probably buy these and re-box them. Barrus or Yanmar don't make filters or oil. If you know the generic number they will be even cheaper at Partco Alex

  24. I would recommend http://heritagenarrowboats.co.uk/ great spot and a lovely canal. You can make a one week cruise as hard or as easy as you like. Alex
