Wusses.

This chap only climbed down because we were bringing short boat Ribble through the lock at the time.

Note the minor differences in the tower heights and the stability of the platform! :D

It's in the instructions for the tower: When above a height of 2 metres, the outriggers must be used.

Change-over day, then?

Later in 2018 we moored for a couple of nights just through the bridge (off-picture at the bottom). We walked up to the village and, along a path and through a field, to the most delightful village pub, set in a small square which time seemed to have forgotten.

We also met forum member Bones - she moors nearby, or at least she did then. She doesn't post much, if at all, these days, but some members will remember her.

Yes, remember Bones. A good contributor at one time. Met her once at the folly, some years ago when we sat outside for a lone banter as we had George the Staffie with us, and couldn’t get inside with him.

Last year the Folly was happy to have dogs in the bar (the nicer of the rooms there IMHO), even had dog biscuits out.

The ‘gang’ were sat in the non dog side. We survived as did George, at that stage.
