I am duty bound to regret that, the future development of my incredible invention, ''The electric dark bulb''has been rebuked and ridiculed,by very high up powers,in fact, the truth is there's a panic on.

Even the great Sir,P.Moore has politely advised me to cease all experiments, as he fears, this World 'Earth'and indeed the whole universe could be placed in great danger of, Well just ceasing to exist,i think he meant. Sorry folks. bizzard.

I'm sorry but it has been introduced by Npower.

An industial unit I own has been empty for 3 months but Npower want £228.18 for the 1,266 units of electricity that these dark bulb have used.

Your invention might have been rebuked and ridiculed due to punctuation rather than physics? Enjoy the beer tonight  ..........

Right you lot have asked for it.I shall begin describing an idea of mine about how to use your stove to propel your boat along.

No more buying gas oil at outrageous prices.Just forage about for sticks.Firstly, move your coal stove to the middle of your boat, the ideal place anyway,i don't know why everyone stick em at the side,i suppose its a case of,'its what everyone does',a sad lack of individual imagination.Secure it there very firmly with the door facing aft. To be continued bizzard.

You just can't be nice to some people! I'm looking forward to hearing about stove propulsion. Is it a variation on the little submarine powered by baking powder I had years ago?

Bloomin' 'eck !!!.

I had forgotten about those....

Didn't it work better...if you put it in a screw topped jar ??

I did once make a meccnno car...with a solder tube strapped to the back...full of home made explosive. My mother came to watch the first run across the shed floor...and seconds later...we exited...looking for ash trays for our eye brows !!

After a hiding from my dad...I sold the chemistry set to my mate....and we made rocket cars around his house.

It certainly is not,''sticks'' will be the fuel.

Another method similar to the above was.

My mum sometimes gave us moth balls to play with, camphor in those days but i think they're Naptha now.

We'd chip a tiny bit off, stick it on an old bus ticket or bit of card and it would propel it round and around the sink. 'magic' bizzard

We also used the Jetex solid rocket propellant used to launch gliders into the sky and to power speed boats, available from model shops. bizzard

The next operation in this propulsion idea is a bit disconcerting, but be brave, take the bull by the horns and get cracking, just keep thinking of all the dosh you'll save.

Sight through from stove door to Uxter plate level at the extreme aft end.I suppose the gizmo fan could use a Laser beam thing, but no need, just knock anything out of the way and use a taught piece of string. My techniques are a bit like dear old Fred Dibnah's,i'm affraid, what looks right usually is.I've not much time for going over the top with tedious calculations and all that stuff, life's too short, and makes the job drag on and on,worry becomes manifest.you can't sleep, for calculations and technical figures all buzzing around in your bonse. Some folk seem to thrive on all that ,but often exhaust themselves with all the planning and rarely finish the job.One day i'll discover how to illustrate my idea's on here with sketches and blueprints, most of which i'd have to scan from off scraps of paper, fag packets and the like, will carry out the Xray's one day.

No just bash on with the job.You can easily make good afterwards.

Now depending on the size of the boat, widebeams need quite a lot of power in order to shove that huge wall of water in front of them, why don't they make em with nice shapely yacht style bows, less water disturbance and fuel consumption reduced by probably half.So for the same length w/b as n/b you'll need to double up all my measurements in order to reap the same amazing benefits. bizzard ^_^

Given their love of things maybe BW would invest a few million in the project and later erect dark bulb darks by each lock to go on in the day.

Bluddy Hell, I had some of those half a century ago. Iremember that my green one always sank to the bottom rolled over and just released a series of bubbles.
