Came out of the dry dock at Hockley Port yesterday afternoon and thought the level was down a bit. Moored by Sea Life Centre and level down more today with some boats at Sherborne on the bottom. 6 to 8 inches I estimate.

Emailed CRT to get this reply:

Thanks Peter, we have a 50 mile stretch affected thanks to vandalism.  The team are on the case but this may take a couple of days to resolve.

There’s a stoppage restricting the Ryder’s Green flight to certain opening hours, locked outside those hours due to vandalism. Perhaps this is the issue?

Noticed this at Hockley Port this morning. My guess was Ryders Green or Blowers Green or another damn culvert. Thanks for the info.

Going into the centre of Birmingham tomorrow morning, I hope the level has come up a bit by then or it will be a long slow grind getting there.

Hasn't altered much since this morning.

I've just measured it by my mooring and it's around 6-7 inches down.  I'm off on my summer cruise on saturday (supposedly), hope it comes up a bit.

The level does not seem to have recovered at all over night, it is very slow going.

It's halfway back to normal at Hockley Port.

Perhaps it is being filled from Edgebaston and I am going against the flow!

It's gonna take a while John.  We're talking Tardebigge to Tipton and down the North Stratford - that's one helluva level to refill! :(

I appreciate It will, I was a bit concerned that perhaps there had been more trouble, but hopefully that is not the case.

Agreed.  Let's hope so, there's enough leakage issues without eejuts adding to the list!

It was only down about 3" at HP this morning, about 2" down now.  I'd hope its back to normal by tomorrow morning.

Finally made it into Birmingham, slow all the way and the level is still well down in the centre.

Where is everybody though, no boats at all on the Arena side of the Main Line, only 3 boats on the other side, and 2 spaces on the Oozells St Loop.  Funny though that from Salvage Turn to Worcester Bar was completely full, don’t know why people pick to moor there, but I should not complain as it gave me the pick of the better places ?

I didn't see this thread before posting some details in the stoppages section. It seems to have affected water levels all over, with the long pound below Knowle being some inches lower than normal.
