For those unfamiliar with Kelvin Fs, the flywheel is on a taper with woodruff key, different from the bolted on Js and Ks. Good work Tom and I'm envious of the new gearbox parts. tom_c
Now that the panto season is over, I've had chance to continue with the rebuild, this engine is slightly different to the other F4s out there in that it has the optional governor fitted to it. The propeller and shaft are now fitted too, hopefully it won't be too long before the engine is in now Tom

D. W. Walker
Looks brilliant, I thought I was the "patron saint of lost causes" in the words of my pal! One question: where on the canal network do you think you will be able to buy paraffin in "engine size quantities", not just in 5 litre containers? The canals are very much set up for diesel boats! We had a similar consideration with a coal fired steam boat - 20kg sacks don't go far and are an expensive way of buying coal in large quantities! tom_c
I'm planning on fitting a very large tank, and having a tanker delivery every year, kerosene is a good fuel or the mix of diesel and petrol from people misfueling their cars! D. W. Walker
Sounds like a good plan, and if you have a route to the "misfuel" stuff that would be great - and probably cheap! I have a "recipie" to make up fake Tractor Vapourising Oil if you want it, petrol/paraffin tractors seem to prefer it to straight paraffin, as they don't usually work hard enough nowadays to get hot enough to run well on paraffin

Is that a metal clad glove you just chucked on the floor in front of Kerosene Castle? Might still have 3 or 4 working pots by then. I found another 'E' bit for you in the latest tidy up.
