It can but if you have much mail or parcels you could easily upset the marina manager.

Freelance Gigalo might fit the box. lol

Tried it got to many returns!

I don't have a boat yet but internet marketing is what I'll be doing, need decent internet but doubt thats too much trouble

Internet based work is appealing, I spend alot of time currently running eBay shops but for my current employer not myself.

Can residnetial mooring be used as pernament address?

Normally a residential mooring gives you 'full rights' ( having an address to register to vote, receiving mail, paying council tax etc etc)

I'm not a full time CCer and tend to do most on my ebaying during the 'dark nights'.

Buy off ebay when advertised in 'general areas, have poor pictures, poor descriptions, or spelling mistakes in the title' then post it in the correct specialist areas with good pics description etc. Generally make a 'few pennies'(enough) to pay for my hobbies.

Interesting, I find I can make money buying items locally with "no shipping collection only on auctions" Then reselling but also offer collection too.

Me also.

However you need to be honest with yourself and take the fuel / running costs of your car into account. If its more than 10 miles away (20 mile round journey = £5) then it needs to be very cheap / under priced. The fact that ebay then take 10% of your selling price impacts on your 'profit'.

If you are on the boat your transport options (for collection) may be 'limited'

With the new Post Office weights / parcel sizes it is quite economical to use "2nd class parcel signed for".

Limited space means smaller items / collectibles which tends to mean lower postage rates. Swings and roundabouts.

My main site is ecommerce now, selling vaping/e cigs. But I have other sites that just use amazon affiliate scheme/adsense for 'passive' income, I'm going to sell the main site/business,buy a boat and just do the affiliate sites.

Takes some learning and most people fail (as with anything) but theres plenty of different things you can do. Like a lot of the websites with canal boats listed as a example. You could just set up a site, let people advertise for free, write a load of content on canal boats then when you have some traffic companies will pay you to put ads up.

I paint(mosty springsummerautumn), move boats (mainly winter), fit solar, service enjuns, add electrics, fix electrics, fix enjuns, fit bathrooms, fit.......

anything that keeps me on the waterways.

I spent a lot of time ,energy and effort, going back to basics , learnt from the best people, and lost money to get where I am today

.

I love it.

my website may be updated soon, however, most of my work comes from boatyards/brokerages direct or recommendations

edited to add a n to soo

Dont forget google adsense? get an account with that so you can have google ads on your site and get paid for clicks on those ads. add a blog section to your site, promote the blogs via social marketing, drawing people to your site to read the blogs and pick up more clicks on the ads.

Yeah I have some adsense sites, get far less per visitor than using amazon though.

No one has yet mentioned this, but I wonder if cannabis dealing might be a suitable occupation for a boat dweller. I'm told that the police have no idea where places on the canal (e.g. bridge numbers) are, so it would be unlikely that they would find you.

Mind you, your potential customers might struggle to find you too, especially as they might well not be thinking too rationally.

I would like to thank all of you that are working hard and paying your taxes, to pay my pension, to enable me to live the life.

There was enough going on in Reading when we came through, they seemed to find the right bridges OK
