The most furious I ever got on the internet was when someone suggested lasagne and chips. Both at once. On the same plate!

To be fair, as long as you can avoid the white sauce, when dunking them, chips and lasagne isn't that bad a combination, especially if Parmesan is sprinkled over the chips, as soon as they come out of the fryer.

I suppose I'm in the 'cretin' category now. ;)

The white sauce is the best bit to dunk the chips in!

You see, this is exactly how internet flame wars start.

It's like dunking chips in custard.

This country will have definitely gone to the dogs, if such uncivilised behaviour ever becomes acceptable.

It's a poor imitation of the Québecois Poutine.

Tony :P:P

Are you sure? - I've just googled that and whilst one looks likes like a pile of vomit with salad and chips - the other looks like a pile of vomit but with lumps in -

look completely different to me.

the white sauce that goes with chips is called mayonnaise.

Chips, grated cheese and mayo kept me alive through University.

Don't get me started on egg and chips.

Eggs, however they are cooked, must have to have the yolks cooked hard. Runny yokes should be banned!

But Poutine came first :P

Poutine - chips, cheese curds and gravy.

Parmo - chips, breaded checken and (white) gravy.
