A little bedding tip

If you have a mattress 120cm wide, I found that a cover for duvets 140-150cm will fit right over the mattress provided the opening is full or near full width.

Much easier than tucking in a flat sheet, especially if the bed base is built-in with furniture to the sides, and turning the mattress over is a doddle.

Good tip, but I would hate to put it on and off regularly because of space considerations. Much depends upon the boat, on my boat it was a struggle to flip the mattress to even out the wear. Putting a fitted bottom sheet with elasticated corners was easy enough once you had the knack.

I have been looking for a packet of Knacks for years, where did you get yours please? As I get older and stiffer I seem to need more.

I have a single mattress on a wooden NB base, it leaves a foot for storage of stuff,

My king size duvet cover (Tesco clearance) at £6.50 is my bed cover, and my double duvet cover is my bottom sheet.

There is no dampness but I swivel mattress once month as recommended

That's what I do as well.
