Can I glue Celotex boards?

I have some spare Celotex and (being a bit bored) thought that I could make a coolbox of sorts, if I could make a cube using 6 pieces each (say) 18" square.  It would be necessary to glue these together but can this be done? If so, what glue would you use?

Yes.  Use solvent free grip fill or equivalent. You may  need to trim off the aluminium foil layer where you want to glue the bits  together, as otherwise you are relying on the foam to aluminium bond as well as the foil to foil bond.  Have a try with some scrap.

Celotex is pretty easy to dent so you may also want a ply box on the outside to protect it.

If you are just using the PIR as a box with no inner or outer lining then wrap it in duct tape and inside use aluminum foil tape for the corners. job done, no need to glue the joints.
