  1. I saw the clip last Sunday, Tom Heap also did a piece last year featuring The Folly at Napton with landlord Mark.
  2. Message from Brenda Ward, BCNS today. Another well known name on the cut has passed away Sorry, already posted elsewhere
  3. Some members of the RN Register have National D2's fitted. What specifically are you after? If you PM me with your email I will ask around

  5. It's good for continuity watching; since when was there a row of houses opposite Westport lake?!
  6. Well if it is CRT are banged to rights as they used to take all the ash from Cropredy Marina's bins to use for sealing stop planks et al.
  7. If it's south Oxford it will be Oxfordshire Narrowboats for sure. It may be OK to get through the gap, but try and wind in the official winding hole and you could be stuffed. They also moor along the towpath moorings north of the narrows and the 48hr visitor moorings south of Bridge 206. Was a damn sight worse when their fleet from the Thames was in for winter, but of course thy now have Black Prince[Death] boats there as well. Just had a thought, Is that Clifton Cruisers by chance?
  8. With the exception of the 48h SUCS moorings above Adderley locks, they have provided a lot of deep, ringed moorings along the Shroppie including the Llangollen. Shows what a good canal society can do.
  9. Bridge 80 near Overwater - breach, nothing at Hack Green yet and no update on Chas Harden but definitely a breach
  10. In the late 1970's there was a "Mississippi tugboat" style restaurant tagged on the end. Manager's name was Gerald.
  11. Hopefully all the tw*ts who cycle like fury along there
  12. That was one of my suggestions to the Ombudsman back in 2018 the other was the now imposed restriction. As to the claim for passing two boats through that bridge at the same time, good luck with that one!
  13. If Steve Hudson was still alive, they would probably end up in his boats.

  16. I am amazed by the number of boat owners who do this in reverse order.
  17. Reported that CRT have sold the building and land adjacent. Anyone know anything??
  18. Is this still near Whilton marina?

  22. So true and even worse along the Claydon Road past the marina entrance. Why so many use the back road to Aston-le-Walls beats me, it's a rut hole single track used by some quite smart cars [company owned?].
  23. Know the area very well; your description does seem to fit the type. I wouldn't have wanted to take a mooring there at any time for the reasons the OP said. Over the road into your lovely cottage
