I'm having a new boat built, do I ask if its made with Chinese steel and have an everlasting guilt trip or do I just leave the question unasked and live in peace in my ignorance :-) probably the latter.
I understand 'coaching' boats accompanying university rowing teams, I cant remember the name of that type but they go much faster than your average cruiser.
Is there something wrong with thee channel markers in Breydon water? When I went through there (and it was a very long time ago) it seemed fairly clear so why are people wondering into the shallows?
Only a guess but maybe there is a printed circuit track that has fractured so that when the panel is cool contact is made but when warm contact is lost. If this is the case and you can find the break you might be able the bridge the break with a short piece of wire and some solder.
Once you know its all tight and set right get some nail varnish and paint on some "tell tale" lines then if it ever comes loose you should be able to tell whether it was the top or the bottom nuts that have moved.
