It doesn't take long to get to Goole from there, maybe a couple of hours. Two marinas sell diesel there.

Yes, but it's a boring four hour round trip and I'm back where I started.

I know last time I was here we had a car and used a filling station red diesel.

But you haven’t got a car and you said you were going to move your boat to get some??? so now your going to ask one of the Moorers there to take you to get diesel from a garage and not move the boat😂

You could stay in Goole, then it would only be a two hour trip and you wouldn't be back where you started. Goole's nice by the way, you can watch ships coming and going. Tune into VHF channel 14 and you can listen in.

I spent a year in Goole when I bought the boat.

The trouble is that there are a lot of Polish "fishermen" who work shifts at the sandwich factory then spend the rest of their day stealing anything which is not chained and  padlocked.

I'm sort of hesitant to plan anything at the moment, with stoppages popping up on a regular basis, probably due to the exceptional rainfall we have experienced recently.

And now there is a two week stoppage upcoming at Goole!

I think I'll head back to Thorne.
