Impossible to answer.

I CAN say though, that a friend of mine was woken in the night by a CO alarm sounding in the boat next door. On investigation, said boater next door was found alive and well, sound asleep, right next to the sounding alarm.

I have a CO alarm in the lounge area of the boat which is where the guest bed is, It went off with my Grandson fast asleep in the same room. I put it down to temperature change as it was date expired and has now been replaced. Grandson didn't know anything about it.

On the picture that Dave has posted there is a protrusion below the top door. Is that the modification that stops you from opening the bottom without also opening the top?

I notice Morso stoves don't appear on Midland Chandlers website so no point racing down there on freaky Friday.

I have generaly found on several occasions over the years that Midland Swindlers prices on freaky friday are what other chandlers charge in the first place. My last purchase of just 3 items last January when I lived just down the road from Midland Swindlers in volved me driving an hour and a half each way to Limekiln and after deducting the fuel costs in my v8 Jag I still got the 3 items for £150 less than Midland Swindlers.

being deaf in one ear, if I lie on the opposite side so my good ear is deep in the pillow, I wouldn't hear an alarm, or even SWMBO shouting at me.

Alarms for the deaf exist. Usually they involve flashing lights. I suggest you invest in a couple.

For anyone with hearing difficulties, please for your own sakes investigate specialist alarms. The local fire service can advise e.g.

http://www.cheshirefire.gov.uk/public-safety/campaigns/awareness-campaigns/deaf-awareness-week/smoke-alarms-for-deaf-and-hard-of-hearing-people

A few years ago Northants Fire Service fitted a specialist alarm for a deaf boater and week later it saved them from falling ill or worse when it activated. Investigations revealed a fault in the solid fuel stove chimney.

Job done. One very grateful boater. Everyone can be protected.
